Hertfordshire Volunteer Centres Annual Conference and Awards Ceremony 2016
Now in its 8th Year, this award is very special as nominations can only be made by volunteers. The idea is to champion organisations who demonstrate quality in their volunteer management. To be eligible, organisations must demonstrate a basic level of good practice as demonstrated by achieving the Hertfordshire Valuing Volunteer Management 6 Point Promise
All nominees for the award are invited to join us at the Hertfordshire Volunteer Centres Annual Volunteering Conference hosted by Beales Hotel Hatfield
The new trophy was presented in Volunteers Week (1-7 June 2016 by the Countess of Verulam,
Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of Hertfordshire
Volunteering Herts visited the Hertfordshire Leisure Centre dedicated to 2012 double gold medallist, Laura Trott, as part of their Motivating Herts campaign which pays tribute to volunteers in Hertfordshire and celebrates the wonderful legacy of the 2012 volunteers.
Their aim to inspire even more people to get involved in volunteering was boosted by Laura’s recent fantastic double gold performance in Rio 2016 and her tribute to the people behind the scenes who contribute to her success. Each Olympic Games needs volunteers to make it happen and local organisations could not deliver their vital services and activities without them either!
