Volunteering Herts CIC is a partnership of Volunteer Centres working in local districts and together across Hertfordshire. We provide unique services in communities, a source of independent information and advice about volunteering for local people and voluntary and community organisations.
Together we have over 70 years of experience and expertise.
OUR QUALITY AND VALUES – EXCELLENCE IS STANDARD
White Rose Volunteer Centre Accreditation endorses our 6 core functions.
Working to appropriate codes of practice and procedures.
- Good Practice
Providing information, advice and training to help volunteer-involving organisations develop volunteering opportunities, recruit and retain volunteers and deliver high quality services.
Matching people interested in volunteering with local volunteering opportunities.
- Developing and Marketing Volunteering
Encouraging interest in volunteering using a variety of initiatives.
- Vision and Strategy
Networking at a local, regional and national level in the strategic development of volunteering.
- Proactive Response to Policy
Identifying and responding to proposals or legislation that may impact on volunteering.
We recognise the value of the health and social benefits volunteering brings to local communities and to voluntary organisations, community groups and local sports clubs who involve volunteers in their vital services and activities.
As the County www.do-it.org partner, we provide access to volunteering opportunities online but we also recognise personal contact plays a vital part in ensuring volunteers find their ideal role. Together we work with around 5,000 organisations that involve volunteers in delivering their services and recruit a total of over 9,500 new volunteers annually.
