Employer Supported Volunteering
Employer Supported Volunteering schemes are becoming very popular, with many companies allowing time for staff to participate. Volunteering can be a tool for personal development and it also improves morale and motivation. It all makes sound business sense. Please click on the leaflet logo for a brochure.
Businesses are very keen on one day team challenges, so if your organisation has premises or gardens in need of make-over, why not register this as a one-off opportunity with your local Volunteer Centre?.
Do you have any team challenge opportunities? A “wish list”?
Examples – practical DIY, garden makeover, decorating premises, mural painting, constructing a garden accessible for people in wheelchairs, fundraising events, organising an outing for group of disadvantaged people. Imaginative ideas always go down well!

It’s important to look at team challenges as a first step in what might turn out to be an on-going relationship with a local business. Think about how you might involve them in the future. More practical help, or perhaps recruiting individuals from the company as volunteers? How about trustees?
